SHAH ALAM: The Select Committee of Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat) is satisfied with the case presented by the relevant departments on the safety of water from mining ponds, Selangor state assembly speaker Hannah Yeoh said Friday.
Yeoh confirmed that the meeting was held on Tuesday, and that representatives brought in by one of the key witnesses, Luas director Md Khairi Selamat, had submitted that the water that is supposed to be pumped into the Selangor river for treatment is safe.
