Remember Gangnam Style? It just hit 2 billion views

PETALING JAYA: South Korean pop star Psy's Gangnam Style has just become the first YouTube video in history to surpass two billion views on Saturday.

"Very honorable and burdensome numbers. With the appreciation, I'll come back soon with more joyful one," tweeted the South Korean moments after Gangnam Style touched the mark.

YouTube marked the milestone with a special animation showing little dancers performing Psy's signature horse-riding style dance moves into a two billion numerical sign.

The hit song shows Psy satirizing Seoul's wealthiest residential and shopping district Gangnam.

The music video has Psy breezing through a world of speed boats, yoga classes and exclusive clubs while performing his horse-riding style dance moves while being surrounded by models.

The unlikely viral star also holds the record for the highest overall views and most views in a day by hitting 38 million for his follow-up hit Gentleman.
