PETALING JAYA: A suspected burglar was found dead not far from a law firm that he tried to break in to in Sea Park early Monday.

The 40-year-old man was believed to have kicked the glass door to try and get into the office after breaking the padlocks of the firm's grille door in Jalan SS2/66.

“He tried to gain access by kicking the glass door but was severely injured when broken glass fell on him and cut his right leg,” Petaling Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Fadil Marsus said.

Supt Fadil added that the man managed to walk for about 100m before collapsing near a pharmacy in Jalan SS2/64.

A passer-by found the man with blood all over at about 4.30am.

Police said they found house-breaking tools in the man's sling bag.

Supt Fadil said police are looking at the possibility that the man was helped by someone else.

“We will check his records to see if he had committed any crime in the past,” he said adding that the case has been classified as sudden death.
