The 19 children were entertained by carollers, given candies and treated to dinner at the PappaRich outlet at the mall.

Belleview Group marketing and leasing assistant manager Eunice Ong said the event was part of the mall’s community-based corporate social responsibility initiative.

Besides the dinner, Ong said the mall also presented workbooks and stationery items worth RM2,000 to be shared among the children.

“The event to spread Christmas cheer is done annually to share the festive joy with the less fortunate.

“It is also to remind others to do their part and give back to the community.

“We want the children to join in the festivities and not feel left out during the festive season,” she said at the dinner recently.

Siblings J. Vilashini, seven, and J. Vimla, four, were seen enjoying their meal.

“Even though we don’t celebrate Christmas, the festival is always exciting as we will receive plenty of candies and gifts,” Vilashini said.
