GEORGE TOWN: The 9m-tall arch, which was set up for the Chinese New Year Cultural and Heritage Celebration 2013, almost toppled over following a storm in Jalan Mesjid Kapitan Keling here.
The ‘Shanghai-styled’ arch, which was decorated with two large golden lanterns and a red festoon, was “uprooted” when the screws came loose after being buffeted by strong winds at about 7pm yesterday.
