Unicef aid worker Pernille Ironside has a mission to help

Having served in emergency areas around the world, Pernille Ironside is shocked by the atrocities in Gaza.

While she was serving as a humanitarian worker in the Democratic Republic of Congo some years ago, Pernille Ironside worked with celebrated feminist Eve Ensler on a national campaign to end sexual violence against women and girls in the war-torn country. At the campaign launch, Ironside noticed a girl of about 10.
