Venezuelan beauty wins transgender tiara

Beauty crosses time zones and gender lines as a Venezuelan transwoman claims the title of Miss Queen International in Thailand.

Hailing all the way from the land famed for producing countless beauty pageant queens, 22-year-old Isabella Santiago beat 21 contestants from 18 countries to win the title and prize money of US$12,500 (RM41,682) at the glittering event on Nov 7 in the Thai resort town of Pattaya.
