It’s a heart-stopping massive beef patty between two deep-fried chicken ‘buns’ with bacon and sauce.
KFC may have outdone themselves this time with the release of a monstrous, amped up version of its infamous Double Down sandwich a beef burger patty between their signature deep-fried chicken “buns”.
The colossal bunless burger called the “Zinger Double Down King”, launched in South Korea last week and purportedly weighs in at a whopping 750 calories.
News of the beastly sandwich has Internet tongues wagging, with words like “terrifying” and “ludicrous” being used to describe KFC's latest launch.
Like the Double Down sandwich, which first debuted in the US in 2010, the Zinger eliminates bread buns and replaces them with two deep-fried chicken fillets. But in addition to a bacon filling, the South Korean version also includes a superfluous but headline-grabbing beef patty and a slathering of barbecue and special sauce.
No word yet on whether the Zinger will roll out to other parts of the world.
Fast food chains have made sport out of launching extreme sandwiches and products in recent years.
