SILENT Mode Sdn Bhd has introduced a new feature to support food delivery orders on the Slurp point-of-sale (POS) system for iPads as well as on Slurp customer mobile app for Android and iOS smartphones.
With the release of the new feature, end users now have an easy way, with a click of a button, to request their food to be delivered to an address they specify using the Slurp customer application.
Meanwhile, restaurant merchants can use the new feature as a sole channel to receive all incoming delivery orders on a single interface of the cloud-based Slurp Central POS system for the iPad. The new feature is available immediately.
With access to the delivery feature, Slurp users no longer have to worry about spending time travelling to and from a restaurant or getting stuck in city traffic as they can now opt to enjoy food from their favourite restaurants in the comfort of their home, have food delivered to their business luncheons or for other occasions.
The company says the delivery feature offers a good alternative to restaurant operators who struggle to manage incoming orders on multiple channels such as telephones and various social media platforms as they can now switch to having a single channel to receive all delivery orders placed by remote customers.
In addition, F&B outlets without a delivery service yet now have the opportunity to look into offering such a service by taking advantage of the tools available via Slurp.
This opens up an opportunity to create a new revenue channel to grow their business.
Silent Mode director Reza Razali said, “Since we first launched Slurp earlier this year, many restaurant merchants we met expressed an interest in having a tool to help them with delivery orders.
“This influenced our decision to add a new feature on the Slurp point-of-sales system to support remote ordering.
“At the same time, we also wanted to give users an easy way to make a delivery order by using the Slurp app on their smartphone. So, the delivery feature we are introducing in Slurp is a ‘win-win’ for both restaurant operators and their customers.”
The Slurp customer app is currently available only to connect users with F&B outlets that use the Slurp cloud-based point-of-sales system.
