M’sia-Turkey FTA to take effect after four years of talks


Turkey, with a population of 74 million, holds vast market potential. Malaysia Airports Holdings, which operates the Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (pic), is among the Malaysian companies already there.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia-Turkey Free Trade Agreement (MTFTA) will come into effect on Aug 1, after almost four years of intense negotiations between the two countries that began in May 2010.
