Ahmad Tajuddin Ali returns to Sirim

KUALA LUMPUR: Sirim Bhd has appointed Tan Sri Dr Ahmad Tajuddin Ali as its new chairman effective May 20 to replace Datuk Jamaliah Kamis whose term of service has expired.

The three-year appointment was made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as the Finance Minister through a letter of appointment recently, Sirim said in a press statement on Tuesday.

Prior to this appointment, Ahmad Tajuddin had helmed Sirim from 1989 to 1996 as the director-general of the organisation, which was then known as Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia.
