Eversendai bags RM172m contracts

KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corporation Bhd has secured about RM172.20mil worth of structural steel projects in the Middle East and India.

It said on Tuesday among the contracts were two jobs valued at over RM40mil and the first project is to construct a complex on Dana Island in Doha, Qatar.

Eversendai said the construction of the complex was scheduled to be completed by December 2014.

It also secured another sub-structure contract in Qatar for a structure which is part of a project that would provide vital connection into Doha's fast growing Lusail City Development area.

The second large project involves building a facility for the International Airport in Jeddah to handle the carriers' existing and new aircraft engines and it is expected to be completed by January 2015.
