Tradewinds, parties hold 97.42% of Bernas

PETALING JAYA: Tradewinds (M) Bhd and concerted parties have acquired 97.42% of the issued and paid-up capital of Padiberas Nasional Bhd (Bernas), falling short of 0.95% in their bid to take the latter off Bursa Malaysia.

In a filing with the local exchange, Bernas said the offerers had also received an additional 0.02% after the posting date at 5pm yesterday that was subject to verification.
