Notion VTec sees silver lining in Australian mining venture

KUALA LUMPUR: Notion VTEC Bhd believes its venture into the silver mining business in Australia via Alcyone Resources Ltd will lead to more business opportunities despite Alcyone’s less-than-promising financial figures.

Alcyone, Australia’s only pure silver mining company, recorded a net loss of A$10.34mil (RM31.17mil) on the back of A$20.69mil in revenue for the financial year ended June 30, 2013 (FY13).
