From next year onwards, all Samsung Smart TVs will be equipped with the Remote Access feature.

Future Smart TVs by Samsung Electronics will be able to remotely connect to PCs, tablets and smartphones.

The electronics company says it would be rolling out the Remote Access feature on its Smart TV lineups starting 2019.

The feature provides enhanced wireless connectivity with said devices, allowing users to remotely control compatible programs and apps through their Samsung Smart TV. This does away with the need for HDMI cable connections.

It also allows input devices – like keyboards and mice – to connect to a Samsung Smart TV, making it easier to control on-screen content.

In addition to displaying content on a larger screen, Remote Access will allow users to directly control their devices connected to the Smart TV, using a keyboard and mouse.

Users can also obtain files and work on documents from their Smart TV, as web browser-based office Cloud services can be accessed via Remote Access.

Samsung Electronics Visual Display Business executive vice president Hyogun Lee says the feature is part of Samsung's commitment to creating an intuitive and convenient user experience for consumers.

Samsung integrated its proprietary Knox security technology into the Remote Access feature to address security concerns surrounding wireless connectivity and Cloud services.
