The new 15in MacBook Pro 2018 is reportedly running slower than the model released last year.

Apple's shiny new 15in MacBook Pro 2018 with the powerful 6-core 2.9GHz Intel Core i9 processor – and probably one of the priciest laptops – is running slower than the model released last year, according to one benchmark.

Though Apple claims it's 70% faster than the previous generation, enabling up to 4.8GHz Turbo Boost speed, the 2018 model can't keep up because Apple is heavily throttling the processor.
