Ride-sharing service Maven is launching a new service in San Francisco that will give freelancers instant access to a fleet of different cars to suit their gig. 

Be it app-based food-ordering-and-delivery services, off-the-cuff chauffeuring, or dropping off Amazon orders, technological innovations and their resulting consumer trends are having a huge impact not just on the job market but on the very nature of work itself.
