Samsung Malaysia Electronics has announced the availability of Galaxy Tab S3, a stylishly designed tablet that now comes with the S Pen, which it claims is designed to feel and write like a pen.
“In today’s modern world, consumers look for tablets that are able to do a lot more,” said Hosea Heen, head of mobile business for Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
The S Pen, which has a smaller 0.7mm tip for a more natural writing experience, allows the user to jot down notes even when the tablet is on standby mode, and easily add annotations to PDF files.
The tablet has a 9.7in (2,048 x 1,536 pixels) Super Amoled display with support for HDR (high dynamic range) for displaying supported videos in vivid colours, as intended by the movie maker.
To enhance your movie watching experience, it comes with “quad stereo” AKG speakers tuned by Harman. The speakers have an Auto Rotate Stereo function that will redirect sound based on the orientation of the tablet.
The Tabs S3 also supports Samsung Flow so users can pair a supported smartphone, like the Galaxy S8, so they can respond to messages either on the tablet or smartphone.
It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and has 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card).
The tablet also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5-megapixel front-facing one for video calls and selfies.
According to Samsung, the large 6,000mAh battery supports up to 12 hours of video playback and comes with a fast charging feature.
The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to arrive on our shores on June 1 and will be available in two colours – Black and Silver – and retail for RM2,999 (inclusive of GST).
Users can also get the optional Book Cover which has a magnetic attachment for the S Pen for RM199.
