A QLED burst of colours

There I was, lying on my back in a swimming pool, gazing up at the brilliant blue sky over Kuching. It was a bright blue, with wisps of clouds, fluffy like little balls of white cotton being slowly shredded as they moved across the sky. It was a mesmerising sight, absolutely beautiful. It was like I was back watching the presentation at Samsung’s launch of new QLED series of TVs in Paris two weeks earlier, on March 12.

Held at the Carrousel du Louvre mall, the launch was more than blue and white. It was a blinding blaze of colours. And it was a show of strength by Samsung – that it is set to remain the world leader in the TV segment, besides keeping its stranglehold on the handphone market.
