AI push: Amazon's Alexa assistant, so far predominantly used in smart speakers, will be integrated into Lenovo's Motorola smartphones.

The world's largest PC manufacturer Lenovo is giving Google's AI helper the cold shoulder and is partnering with Amazon to install a rival digital assistant on its phones.

Amazon's Alexa assistant, so far predominantly used in smart speakers, will be integrated into Lenovo's Motorola smartphones over the course of the year, the company announced at the recent Mobile World Congress trade fair in Barcelona.
