Obsidian Entertainment's latest RPG title has raised almost three times its US$1.1mil (RM4.89mil) target and is the first campaign in crowdfunding site Fig's history to attract 27,173 backers – and there's still one day left to go.
Proving that even in high-tech gaming circles the old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies, games developer Obsidian has looked to crowdfunding to pay for its new game – Pillars of Eternity 2 – which is a sequel to Pillars of Eternity, a title that itself was funded entirely via generous Kickstarter donations.
