MyIX: Internet Data Exchange hits all time high of 170Gbps

Chiew says this year five more companies joined the MyIX peering network.

The Malaysia Internet Exchange (MyIX), an initiative under the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), reported that the Internet traffic in Malaysia is still on a rapid rise.

The findings were based on Internet data patterns recorded (up to August 2016) for Internet data that transversed (or ‘peered’) over the National Internet Exchange nodes that directly connects with the country’s major ISPs and content providers.
