Big hit: Battlefield has gained massive popularity since its debut in 2002.

Paramount Television and Anonymous Content have optioned the rights to a TV series based on EA's video game franchise Battlefield from Dice, an Electronic Arts Inc. studio.

Michael Sugar, 2016 Academy Award winner, and Ashley Zalta from Anonymous Content have been tapped to serve as executive producers, with the duo to work collaboratively with EA and Paramount TV to develop the series "with the same commitment to robust storytelling that has made the game such a runaway success for nearly 15 years," according to Sugar.
