Newly released augmented reality mobile game Pokémon Go is on track to surpass Twitter in daily active users on Android and is reportedly more popular than both Snapchat and dating app Tinder, according to fresh figures published by online traffic estimator tool SimilarWeb.
The new app, which allows users to play the animated Pokemon game in the real world via virtual reality technology, is currently only officially available in the US, New Zealand, and Australia with creators Niantic Labs forced to pause its global rollout due to its overwhelming and unexpected popularity.
