Uber drivers switched off the popular app on Jan 18 to protest a recent mandatory cut imposed on prices in cities across the world. The decision was made to promote usage during the "winter slump," according to news reports.
In Mexico City, a handful of the protesting drivers made themselves available to the media to warn the San Francisco-based company that quality will fall with income.
