Scoring a 10: The Microsoft Lumia 950 is one of the first handphones to be equipped with Windows 10.

Despite forecasting a rollout of the Windows 10 smartphone update in December several months ago, Microsoft now says the upgrade will take place next year on select devices.

Although no particular devices suitable to the upgrade have been confirmed by Microsoft, The Verge reports that handsets will need to be equipped with a minimum of 8GB. In the meantime, the first smartphones to run on Windows 10 are the recently launched Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.
