CHILDREN aged between seven and 12 can look forward to the Kuntum-Dutch Lady Colouring Contest 2013 in Penang which promises to be an event filled with excitement and fun.
The contest, which will be held on June 22 from 8am to 1pm at the Penang Times Square in Jalan Datuk Keramat, is organised by Kuntum, with Dutch Lady as the main sponsor.
It is aimed at promoting harmony and unity among children of different backgrounds in a fun and lively environment.
The Star senior circulation executive Eileen Ooi said the contest was divided into two categories – Category A for children aged seven to nine years old, and Category B for children aged 10 to 12 years old.
“Participants stand to win up to RM850 worth of attractive prizes which include cash prizes, hampers and a one-year Kuntum subscription.
“The top three schools with the highest number of participants in each category (with a minimum number of 50 entries) will also get prizes,” she said yesterday after handing over the entry forms for the contest to pupils of SJKC Kwang Hwa in Sungai Nibong, Penang.
Year Four pupil Ooi Juin Wei, 10, said he was excited to join the contest with his friends.
“I hope to participate for the experience. It sounds like a lot of fun,” he said.
The Star marketing representative Christopher James Simon also handed over the entry forms
to students at SK St Xavier in Sekolah La Salle Road.
The registration form is available on the Kuntum website (ekuntum.com.my). Participation is free but is limited and on a first-come first-served basis. Entries close on June 12.
