DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (DiGi) has launched the highly anticipated DiGi WWWOW Internet For All Awards 2013 for the third consecutive year.

Running from May 18 to June 23, this year’s programme promises to be bigger and more exciting with more than RM165,000 worth of prizes and money-can’t-buy experiences for all 15 categories under contention.

For the top two categories — People’s Choice Award and DiGi WWWOW of the Year — the winners will receive a free three-day, two-night trip to Oslo, Norway.

This is the first time DiGi is introducing money-can’t-buy experiences into the awards programme, which carries the theme, “Dream Big, Do Bigger”.

Endorsed by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), this year’s awards programme recognises Malaysia’s top talents in social media, digital content and web commerce who have inspired others to achieve greater things and do more good through the power of the Internet.

Public voting will start from June 2 to 23 and the results will be unveiled on July 6.

Petfinder.my co-founder Andy Koh was present at the media launch to share how his life had been impacted for the better after receiving the accolades.

Petfinder.my was a double award winner last year, taking home the DiGi WWWOW of the Year 2012 (The Best of The Best) Award and the Most Inspiring Internet for Good Award 2012.

“Based on the testimonials shared by our past winners, it is very encouraging for us at DiGi to know that they are now reaping the benefits after winning the DiGi WWWOW Internet For All Awards,” said DiGi marketing services head Chan May Ling.

Apart from the all-expense-paid trip to Oslo, some of the other category winners can look forward to a free trip to the Philippines and meeting fellow top bloggers there, and picking the brains of the Yahoo! SEA managing editor on developing photo stories.

In total, 15 award categories were announced for the DiGi WWWOW Internet For All Awards 2013.

Judging will be conducted by three separate panels of judges.

Submission of entries for the 2013 DiGi WWWOW Internet For All Awards is open until June 23.
