SHAH ALAM: Parti Keadilan Rakyat's Suhaimi Hassan died after he suffered a heart attack and lost control of his Proton Wira which rammed into a tree.
It is learnt that the late Suhaimi, 59, was on his way back home after a ceramah when the accident occurred at Seksyen 17, about 10pm on Sunday.
Officer-in-charge of Selangor traffic Deputy Supt Azmi Mansor said initial investigations revealed the victim suffered a heart attack shortly before losing control of his vehicle.
“Post-mortem results revealed Suhaimi died of a heart attack. There were no visible wounds on the body,” he said when contacted on Monday.
He said no criminal element was involved in the incident.
“The case is classified under the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said.
