CARNIVAL AT CHIN SWEE
Chin Swee - Chinese New Year carnival 2013 with many exciting activities will be happening from tomorrow to Feb 17 such as Lion dance performance and variety shows, Chinese New Year calligraphy writting, fun activities, food, merchandize bazaar and more. Event starts at 10am to 8pm at Sky Terrace (Level 13S), Chin Swee Cave Temple. Join the Chin Swee Deity’s birthday where Temple’s prayer Hall at 7th Floor will be opened 24 hours from Feb 14 to 15, starts at 7pm. A blood donation campaign will be held today and tomorrow to help replenish supplies of the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA), Kuantan. The campaign starts at 10am at the Atrium II of Kuantan Parade shopping complex. Be a hero for a day in your community, come and support the event. A LOOK AT PAHNG SILK
At Pahang Silk Weaving Centre, located in the quiet Cultural Village at Pulau Keladi in Pekan, Pahang visitors can expect to see how Pahang silk is handwoven. These are also four buildings clustered in the compound built in traditional local Malay style, all wooden walls, stilts and peaked gables. The buildings comprise that of Tun Abdul Razak Memorial Hall, dedicated to the memory of Malaysia’s second Prime Minister and a house where he was born. The cultural village is open daily and admission is free.
Calling all fishing enthusiasts who want to show their skills in a fishing competition at the Tasik Taman Bandar Indera Mahkota in Kuantan, Pahang tomorrow from 9am-1pm. Fee is RM100 per rod. About 25 km from Kuantan is the Sungai Pandan Waterfalls. Spanning 11 hectares, it is easily accessible by main road and a 10-km stretch of paved road. The waterfalls is about 100 metres high and consist of a series of cascading rapids, culminating in a large sparkling pool, excellent for revitalizing the senses after a dip.
