PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on Tuesday launched the 1Malaysia privilege card for members of the armed forces and police.
Some 241,000 officers and personnel of both services will receive the card which offers discount of between 5% and 25%.
So far 20 companies including proton, bhp and genting have signed up to offer the discount.
Najib said the initiative was to recognise the sacrifices and commitment by the police and army personnel.
He said with discounts offered, it would enlarge their disposable income.
