IT carnival at Plaza Low Yat

FUELLED by the success of the Crazy Sale last September, Plaza Low Yat is bringing the first ever ICT Carnival to the public this weekend.

The event, which is happening from tomorrow to Sunday will see offers for grabs from 14 participating vendors and more than 600 tenants.

The vendors are Acer, Asus, Canon, Digi, Dell, Lenovo, Maxis, Nikon, Olympus, P1, Sony, Toshiba, HP, Hotel Capitol and the Federal Hotel.

Low Yat general manager (property management and operations) Michael Lee said the carnival, an idea that sprung from the Crazy Sale, would involve more fantastic offers and was set to attract more visitors.

“Plaza Low Yat has always been known as the place for IT products. It is like a PC Fair here every day because our prices are competitive.

“The carnival is going to be big as it involves all our tenants this time and we have the support of many vendors,” he said.

The highlight of the carnival will be the ‘Buy Dip Buy’ promotion, where customers stand a chance to buy the latest IT products at discounts up to 70% when they spend a minimum of RM50 in a single receipt from Plaza Low Yat, Federal Hotel Arcade and BB Park.

There are about 6,000 items on great offers during the three-day affair.

“For example, you might be able to purchase the new 16GB iPad at half the price,” said Lee.

Some of the other items on offer in the promotion are various tablets, 40” LCD television sets, notebooks and cameras.

To encourage spending, Lee added the “Buy Dip Buy” would be divided into three tiers where tier A offers were for those who spend more than RM2,000, tier B was those who spend between RM1,000 and RM2,000 while tier C was for those who spend between RM50 and RM1,000.

Apart from that, vendors Federal Hotel and Hotel Capitol will also be giving away 3,000 meal vouchers during the three-day period.

The lively carnival will also feature lots of music, balloons, street magicians and clowns.

Lee added that the carnival was not an annual event but it would happen during the Malaysian Mega Sale period depending on the response.

“We hope it will bring people from everywhere, including tourists,” said Lee.
