PETALING JAYA: Owners of selected Samsung products will receive a complimentary six-month trial of The Star ePaper.

The Samsung gadgets are the Galaxy SIII, Note I, Note II and Note 10.1, Tab 7, Tab 10.1, Tab 7 Plus, Tab 7.7, Tab 2 7 and Tab 2 10.1.

Those who sign up for The Star Bundle will also automatically be in the running to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.

Samsung Malaysia Electronics marketing director Wong Fatt Weng said that there were 30 tablets to be given away during the three-month promotion period.

“This partnership is in line with Samsung's vision to enrich and improve the lives of our consumers with our mobile devices,” he said during the announcement of the partnership at Menara Star.

He said that Samsung was excited to kick-off the next phase of the ePaper promotion with The Star after a highly successful first phase.

The first phase of the promotion, which ended on Aug 31, saw more than 40,000 subscriptions for the bundle.

The current bundle promotion includes the newspaper, ePaper and eflavours (a digital version of the Flavours magazine) for RM360 per year.

Star Publications (M) Bhd group managing director and chief executive Ho Kay Tat said that tablet usage had redefined the way people read newspapers and magazines.

“We are now adding eflavours as part of the bundle.

“Soon, all publications and magazines under The Star will be available on this platform as well,” he said.

Maybankard Cardmembers can also sign up for the bundle under a 0% interest instalment plan for only RM30 per month.
