In the run-up to Deepavali this Nov 13, the Malaysian Highways Authority (LLM) is offering various discounts and rebates as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme. In addition, selected major routes will also be offering rebates for Awal Muharam on Nov 15. The discount rates and rebates will vary between five per cent and 37.5%. The highways involved are the North-South highway, Elite, Seremban-Port Dickson, Kulim-Butterworth, SecondLink, Akleh, Guthrie, LKSA, Cheras-Kajang, New North Klang Straits Bypass (NNKSB), KL-Putrajaya, Duke, Smart, Senai-Desaru, NPE, Besraya, Lekas, Kesas, SKVE, LDP, Sprint, East Coast Phase 1 (LPT 1), KL-Karak (KLK) and KL-Kuala Selangor (Latar).
SYABAS will be replacing its 600mm-diameter butterfly valves in Jalan Templer, resulting in water supply disruptions from 9pm tomorrow till 5am onMonday. The affected areas will cover Sections 1-9 (Petaling Jaya), Section 14 (roads 14/48 - 62), Sections 18, 22, 51 and 51A, as well as Jalan 219 to 243. Other affected areas include PPR Baiduri, SS9 (Sungai Way), Kampung Pasir Baru, Taman Sri Sentosa, the Assunta and Beacon Hospitals, the Jalan Tandang and Jalan Kilang industrial Areas and Jalan Penchala.

Back for the second year running, the Ibu charity bazaar for this Yuletide will take place at Whitebox and Art Row in Solaris Dutamas on Nov 18, from 10am onwards after Free Wheelie Sunday.
