WHO doesn’t want to keep her skin looking young for as long as possible?
La Prairie believes the answer lies in the sea and has come up with new additions to its Advanced Marine Biology Collection lifestyle skincare products.
At the core of the product collection is advanced aquaculture technology, which harnesses the benefits of marine ingredients cultivated on land without depleting ocean resources.
The five products utilise anti-oxidant properties of algae, combined with intense structural hydration, to effectively stave off the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and preserve the skin’s youthful appearance. It also contains La Prairie’s exclusive Cellular Complex, which bolsters the skin’s natural renewal process and encourages its optimal functioning.
The Foaming Mousse Cleanser contains a natural, coconut-derived cleansing agent that removes all traces of make-up, impurities and pollutants. A trio of sea-sourced ingredients derived from algae is touted to prevent the loss of essential moisture and condition the skin.
The Revitalizing Emulsion, a new-generation, triple-tasking moisturiser for the face, neck and eye zone, has the deep-hydrating action of Salicornia extract, the energising and brightening effect of green microalgae, the defence-strengthening properties of channeled wrack extract, obtained from small brown algae, and the naturally protective red algae.
There’s also the Eye Gel said to help minimise the appearance of wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness.
The mainstay from the collection that was introduced earlier include Day Cream SPF 20 and Tonic.
Prices range from RM235 to MR495. Available at La Prairie counters.
A daily ritual
REMOVING make-up is an essential but extra beauty step for women in order to
maintain good skin. Now, a new three-inone cleansing water from Sisley removes
make-up, cleanses and tones your skin in one go. Eau Efficace is an alcohol-free micellar water naturally perfumed by its botanical active agents.
The no-rinse formula, akin to a lotion, cleanses the face, eyes and lips, plus is said to give soothing, moisturising and toning benefits. Ingredients include saponin-rich plants which contain natural cleansing molecules, Shikakai extract, used in India for its cleansing and beautifying virtues,
Desert Date Palm extract, that has cleansing properties, and toning Neroli extract with sweet, floral notes.
Presented in a well-pump bottle, Eau Efficace is suitable for all skin types. It can be used both in the morning and evening.
Apply it to the whole face using a cotton wool pad. Repeat until all make-up is removed.
Priced at RM340, Eau Efficace (300ml) is available at all Sisley counters.
AS women age, eyeshadow can exaggerate the crepe-like texture of the eye lids.
The solution to this is eyeshadow with skincare benefits, such as the one offered by Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Singles and Duos. It contains Advanced Pigment Technology that is said to target colour rich pigments at their core so that the new eyeshadows create a fine layer on top of the lid instead of falling into lines and creases. Retinyl linoleate, and vitamins C and E also help to smooth the appearance of ageing signs. The result is a powerful combination of long lasting colour that lift and
smooth the eye lids.
The buildable shades are said to provide strong colour saturation and outstanding wear. The smooth texture of the luxurious new formula is crease-proof, allowing for a multi-finish application that smoothens, brightens and lifts the look of eyes. There are 16 Singles and seven Duos to choose
from. Price: RM82 (single) and RM110 (duo). Available at Elizabeth Arden counters.
