SEREMBAN: A Negri Sembilan RTD enforcement officer was injured when a motorcyclist rammed into him at a road block here Saturday.
Ridzuan Che Ri, in his 20s, who sustained minor injuries and an ankle sprain, was rushed to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital here for treatment.
The incident occurred at about 11.30pm during an operation dubbed "Ops Ambang 2012" held in Jalan Datuk Bandar Tunggal here in conjunction with the New Year celebration.
State RTD director Saiful Azzri Hamzah said although the motorcyclist, who was riding against the tide, managed to escape, the motorcycle's registration number had been identified.
Meanwhile, he said 252 summonses were issued to motorists for various traffic offences during the operation, while 52 motorcycles were seized.
The operation, from 9pm to 2am Sunday, involved 118 RTD personnel. BERNAMA
