The One Academy wins creative brand award for third consecutive year

LEADING art and design institution The One Academy once again stood out from the rest when it was awarded The BrandLaureate’s Best Brand in Education — Most Creative Brand.

This was the third year running that The One Academy received the award.

Its principal and managing director Tatsun Hoi said the award not only reaffirmed the academy’s confidence in producing world-class achievers in the creative industry, but also reflected its branding strength with its ‘Masters Train Masters’ philosophy.

“The three-year streak honour also serves as a testament that The One Academy nurtures its students to build their creative success upon a solid education practice of industry-driven syllabus and practical coaching approach.

“The recognition will further inspire The One Academy to continue with its commitment in giving the very best creative education for nation building,” said Hoi.

He also attributed the award success to the endless creative hands-on and creative knowledge application, a strength that has led students and graduates to excel in creative professional careers globally.

He received the award from former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad during a ceremony in January themed ‘Be the Brand, That’s it!’ held at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.

Hoi explained that experienced local and international creative professionals designed the courses offered by The One Academy.

“Our successful graduates are now working in renowned agencies and studios in Malaysia and all over the world including Singapore, the United States, Spain, Britain and Indonesia.

“For example, one of our graduates Ng Chun Seong, who studied in Digital Animation is now a senior modeller in The Moving Picture Company, Canada, and was previously involved in the ground-breaking Hollywood blockbuster Avatar and 2012,” he said.

The BrandLaureate Awards identify and nurture deserving brands in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region.

It is initiated by The Asia Pacific Brands Foundation, a non-profit organisation set up in 2004 which is dedicated to promoting and improving branding standards in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific.
