A production of Primeworks Studio, the 13-episode show will be aired every Sunday at 7.30pm starting tomorrow.

Hosting the show is AirAsia’s Edd Razhe, the personal assistant to the chairman and deputy chief executive officer of AirAsia group, who was chosen for his vivacious and friendly demeanour.

Edd has had years of experience in the entertainment industry and his personality gels well with the many celebrities who will be seen on the journey to the 13 AirAsia destinations.

Dynamic duo: Host Edd Razhe with Maya during the launch of the programme.

Among the destinations are Paris, Hanoi, Jogjakarta, Macau, Hong Kong, Tehran, New Delhi and Guilin in China.

The event was launched at Bangsar Village 2 in the presence of celebrities including Juliana Evans and Elfira Roy. as well as Media Prima Berhad chairman Datuk Johan Jaafar, AirAsia X Group chief executive officer Azran Osman Rani and AirAsia Regional Commercial head Kathleen Tan.

AirAsia chairman Datuk Aziz Bakar said the show was conceptualised for the company’s 10th anniversary and would feature places for the average member of the public to visit and enjoy.

“The show will feature places for the average person who cannot afford five-star hotels or places. Edd and the celebrities will also hand out tips that will help travellers plan their holiday,” he added.

Media Prima’s chief operations officer (Television Network) Ahmad Izham Omar said the idea to produce the show stemmed from the good relationship both organisations had with each other over the years.

TravelogAsia has its own identity and will help TV3 viewers find out the best destinations and products AirAsia and AirAsia X have to offer,” he said.

The first episode will feature Edd and actress Maya Karin in Paris, the city of fashion and will showcase places like the Eiffel Tower, Deauville town, La Valle Village and the King Louise Palace.

“I enjoyed my trip to Paris with Abang Edd and we went to little boutiques and even cycled around the Deauville city,” said Maya Karin, who was wearing a suave pair of pants she bought during her trip.

Viewers who are interested in the places featured in the show can opt to book packages via AirAsiaGo.
