SEVERAL areas in the Kuala Lumpur, Sepang and Gombak will experience water supply disruption from Sept 27 to 30.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) Corporate Affairs executive director Abdul Halem Mat Som said in Sepang, the whole of Putra Perdana was expected to encounter water supply disruption from 9am on Sept 27 to 6am the following day.
In Kuala Lumpur, the disruption will affect Taman Bukit Permai, Kampung Cheras Baru Bukit C, Taman Muda, Taman Mawar, Taman Petra, Taman Pandan Mewah, Taman Lembah Maju, Taman Seraya, Taman Mega Jaya, Taman Teratai, Taman Saga, Taman Melur, Taman Kencana, Bukit Permai Industri and Taman Mastika from 4pm on Sept 28 till noon the following day.
Taman Sri Delima, Taman Sejahtera, Taman Lawa, Taman Kok Doh, Taman Batu, Flat PKNS, Kampung Pasir Segambut and Kampung Segambut Luar, however, will experience supply cut from 10pm on Sept 29 to 6am the following day.
In Gombak, the disruption will involve Taman Cuepacs, Taman Sri Segambut, Taman Wahyu, Taman Megah, Jinjang Utara, Jinjang Utara Tambahan, Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Kepong, Kampung Selayang Lama, Residen Sri Utara, MRR2 Batu Caves/Kepong, Taman Sri Melati, Taman Batu Permai, Taman Batu View, Taman Beringin, Taman Desa Bakti, Taman Desa Padu, Taman Fadason and Taman Mastiara.
“The water supply in these areas is expected to be disrupted from 10pm on Sept 29 till 6am the following day,” Abdul Halem said in a statement on Friday.
Other areas to be affected are Taman Selayang Jaya, Taman Sri Murni, Taman Tasik Indah, Taman Wahyu, Taman Wilayah, Jinjang Selatan, Kepong Baru, Taman Emas Kepong, Taman Jinjang Baru, Taman Sinar Suria, Taman Indah Kepong, Taman Petaling, Taman Pusat Kepong, Metro Prima, Taman Prima Kepong, Laman Rimbunan, Selayang Pandang, Taman Bidara, KEP, Kampung Benteng Segambut, Taman Emas Kepong, Taman Kepong, Taman Nanyang, Taman Usahawan and Taman Selayang Utara.
Abdul Halem said the disruption was due to upgrading work to be carried out at the said areas.
“Consumers are advised to store enough water and use it sparingly during the disruption period,” he said.
