More than 1,100 guests turned up for the wedding of Sharifah Farrah Soraya and Raja Arfiz Shah Putra at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre recently.
Since the bride was the daughter of corporate tycoon Tan Sri Syed Yusof Tun Syed Nasir, many of Malaysia’s social elite attended the reception.
The guests of honour were Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah.
Wedding planner Rizalman, who happened to be a
prominent fashion designer,
took five months to decorate the hall inspired by an Arabian theme.
Rizalman also designed the wedding gown for the bride and another 64 outfits for the family and entourage using Swarovski crystals.
About 36,000 white roses, hydrangeas and orchids bloomed as part of the hall decor.
Accompanied by a 12-man band, Nawal aka Gold Star from the Middle East provided the grand finale to the wedding.
