PETALING JAYA: Dayang Nur Camelia Abang Khalid, singer and popular host of the interior decorating television show Casa Impian, has married a prominent local developer who is a “Datuk”.
According to sources close to Camelia, her new husband is not Tun Daim Zainuddin’s son, who had been previously linked to her. This is Camelia’s second marriage.
“Yes, it’s true. Camelia is married but it is not with Tun Daim’s son. It is someone whom she has known for quite some time,” the source told Mstar Online yesterday.
However, the source refused to reveal the name and background of Camelia’s husband.
Camelia could not be reached for comment.
She was born on June 20, 1974, in Kuching, Sarawak and hosted the popular Astro programme Casa Impian.
Her previous marriage to Ehsan Tun Ahmad Zaidi ended in 1999.
Her ex-husband then married actress-cum-singer Azzarima Za-wari, formerly from the girl band Elite.
Camelia was the only Malaysian artiste to fly to Hong Kong to witness the opening ceremony of Louis Vuitton (LV) in Canton Road Maison, which is also LV’s second largest boutique after the one in Champs Elysee.
She is an artiste under Virgin Records and has produced several albums including Camelia, Memori, Mimpi, Untukmu.
Her last album, Mysticam, was distributed by EMI Malaysia, in 2007.
