KUALA LUMPUR: A couple has filed a negligence suit against a developer, the Selangor Government and three others after their two children were killed in a landslide in Ulu Yam last November.
Firefly pilot Roslan Mohd Jani, 49, and his wife Azizah Madon, 43, filed the suit at the High Court civil registry here at 9.47am Wednesday, through their lawyers.
They have named developer SAP Ulu Yam Sdn Bhd, engineering consultant SLP Perunding Sdn Bhd, owner of the housing property Yayasan Selangor, the Hulu Selangor district council and the Selangor Government as defendants.
The two girls, 16-year old Nur Athirah and nine-year-old Nurintan Shereena, were buried alive in the family’s bungalow in Hulu Yam Perdana, Ulu Yam Selangor on Nov 30 last year.
Roslan and his wife, who have four other children, were asleep when the landslide happened.
