LOVERS of Kelantan cuisine can head to Palm Terrace Cafe in Rennaissance Kota Bharu Hotel for a delightful spread of sumptuous and delectable Kelantan delights.
In conjunction with the Sultan of Kelantan’s birthday celebrations, the hotel has come up with a special menu to titillate the tastebuds of its guests.
The hotel’s executive chef Othman Bakar and his team of chefs including guest chef Zul Zamru Abu Bakar have prepared a myriad of Kelantan dishes which include Ulam-ulaman (traditional vegetables) — Ulam Raja, Pucuk Gajus, Kerabu Beko, Kerabu Mangga and Kerabu Perut — complemented with Budu, Sambal Tempoyak and Sambal Belacan.
Two types of soups are served daily inclu-ding Burung Puyuh, Crab with Suhun, Tomyam Campur and Belut soups.
Delicious selections of hot dishes include Gulai Darat Daging, Masak Lemak Siput Sedut, Gulai Itik Serati, Udang Galah Masak Lemak and Perut Kambing Masak Rebung.
Other unique delights are Cenge Ikan Kering, Gulai Kambing, Singgang Sotong and Gulai Che Banding.
Diners can also watch out for live cooking of Laksa Kelantan, Murtabak Diraja, Ikan Bakar and Ketupat Sotong at the action stations.
The dessert selection is bound to satisfy guests with irresistible choices such as Butir Nangka, Lompat Tikam, Jala Mas, Akok and Bubur Pulut Hitam.
