KLIA Ekspres train tickets now available on the Net

PETALING JAYA: Tickets for the KLIA Ekspres, the fast train service between KL International Airport in Sepang and KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur, can now be bought by travellers worldwide.

Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd, the operator service, has joined the Amadeus ticketing system which is better known for booking airline tickets. Amadeus, in a statement, said KLIA Ekspres tickets had been on sale worldwide since last Tuesday.

It said train tickets, which can be purchased together with plane bookings, would be e-mailed to the traveller or agency in a printable PDF format.

The PDF ticket can be used without the need for tickets to be reissued.

Besides the KLIA Ekspres, Amadeus’ airport express service also handles ticketting for London’s Healthrow Express and Stockholm’s Arlanda Express as well as the Friendly Airport Limousine service at Tokyo’s Narita Airport.

“KLIA Ekspres will now be available to more than 102,000 travel agents around the world through Amadeus Airport Express which allows travel agents to easily and efficiently book international rail services for their clients along with their airline reservations,” it said.
