NS instructor in Malacca sacked

KUALA LUMPUR: A national service instructor at Asahan training camp in Malacca has been sacked with immediate effect for negligence.

This is following an incident where 23 trainees had lost their way during a jungle trekking exercise at Asahan Forest Reserve on April 30.

National Service Training Department Director-General Abdul Hadi Awang Kechil said that the decision was taken by the NS Disciplinary Board after deliberating on the findings of an investigation into the case on Monday. – Bernama
