KUALA LUMPUR: Former Bukit Bintang MP Wee Choo Keong has lodged a report with the Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) expressing concern over the conduct of parties involved in the video clip featuring a prominent lawyer purportedly brokering the appointment of judges
Wee, who is named in the clip, handed a memorandum yesterday to Suhakam commissioner Datuk N. Siva Subramaniam.
He urged the commission to look into infringements of human rights under Section 12 (1) of the Human Rights Act 1999.
I feel Suhakam is the next best alternative to a Royal Commission, as it has similar powers and accord similar protection to witnesses, he told reporters at Suhakams office near here yesterday.
