KUALA LUMPUR: ACP Nooryah Md Anvar has created history by becoming the first woman officer to be appointed federal traffic police chief.
The promotion exercise also saw a number of the country’s top crime busters moving up the ranks this month.
Heading the promotion list of 32 senior police officers is deputy CID director (II) Senior Asst Comm (I) Datuk Mokhtar Hassan who now becomes deputy CID director (I) with the rank of Deputy Commissioner.
“The promotion and transfers take effect on the day they report for duty at their respective departments and state,” a statement issued by Bukit Aman said yesterday.
