KUALA LUMPUR: A third police report has been lodged against Jerai MP Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin for uttering the word keling at the Dewan Rakyat.
Ramli Abdullah, president of the Federal Territory Selangor Indian Muslim Front, lodged the report at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters yesterday.
He said Badruddin had insulted the Indian community by using the derogatory term in referring to them.
“I want an apology from him,'' he said, adding that he also wanted police to probe Badruddin's intentions of uttering the word on Oct 25.
The first report was lodged by DAP labour bureau chairman A. Sivanesan at the Brickfields district police headquarters last Thursday, which was followed two days later by Pahang DAP deputy chairman J. Apalasamy's report at the Kampung Raja police station in Cameron Highlands.
Badruddin withdrew the remark following protests from opposition MPs.
