Maybank win Corporate Golf Challenge

MAYBANK, led by Amiruddin Mustafa, emerged champions in the World Corporate Golf Challenge at the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club recently.

The other members in the Maybank team were Ahmad Sabri Ismail, Zulkefli Mohd Yusof and Zaifulnizam Mohd Yusof. The foursome returned with 131 points to win the coveted title by two points.

Matriz Energy Holding were second on 129 points while RHB Bank were third with 109 points.

The Maybank quartet will represent Malaysia in the World Finals at the Hyatt Regency Golf Club in La Manga, Spain, from June 29 to July 3.

Malaysian teams have had impressive results in the World Finals. Malaysia were champions in 2004 second in 2007.

Zaifulnizam said they were looking forward to winning the title again for Malaysia, and Amiruddin added that the team had experienced players.

The World Corporate Golf Challenge Malaysia has been held for the past eight years and Malaysia have been represented in the World Finals since 2002.

World Corporate Golf Challenge Malaysia CEO and event director Margeret Yip said the challenge was an avenue to expand business and networking.
