THE Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa is ushering in the festive season with cute and cuddly bears.
Its Beary Christmas charity campaign, which kicked off on Dec 1, is aimed at raising funds from the sale of the bears at RM30 each to hotel guests and RM10 each to hotel employees.
Proceeds from the sale will go to a few welfare homes in the Klang Valley, including Rumah Kanak-Kanak Trinity.
All bears that are bought will bear the donor’s name and will be hung on the Beary Christmas tree at the main entrance of the hotel.
The bears will later be donated to the children in the homes.
At the launch of the charity campaign, the hotel’s general manager, Sean S.L. Choo, had the honour of lighting the main Christmas tree.
Getting the guests into the Christmas mood was a group of young carollers from the Allegro School of Music who rendered harmonious evergreen Christmas songs.
Among the guests who attended the event were Impiana Hotels & Resorts Malaysia chairman Datuk Seri Ismail Farouk and his wife Raja Datuk Seri Eleena Sultan Azlan Shah, executive director Mohd Yusof Muhammad Isahak and general manager Mohamad Halim Merican, as well as coporate customers and children from Rumah Kanak-Kanak Trinity.
